ABOUT 

The autonomous excavator operates with the integration of three distinct areas of mechatronics and robotics - Machine vision, reverse displacement analysis and motion control. By incorporating such diverse topics, the team to successfully learned underlying concepts and solved challenges involving the integration of these areas. The end result is a robust autonomous excavator capable of detecting piles of dirt, computing the trajectory, and dumping the dirt into a 'dump truck' until it is full.
